This saturday I had to drop some bits off at my old work and say some last goodbyes to some of the children and parents Id coached tennis too, I was so surprised and grateful for the thoughtful presents they had for me. It has been such a wonderful experience coaching my Mini Reds and I will defiantly miss the lovely people and tennis club.
Hello everyone,
Id like to share some exciting news with you, this week I started a new job working as a textile studio assistant at a soft furnishing company, which makes beautiful bespoke curtains, blinds and soft furnishings. I've been so excited about beginning my new chapter and as I am nearing the end of my first week I thought I would reflect of how much I am learning already and keep you guys updated on my progress. I have always been interested in textiles and interior design, so when the opportunity came my way I jumped at it! I have had the best week, I am learning so much and so many new skills, no day is the same and it is such a great environment to be working in. On day one, my first challenge was sewing my boss's blinds! But it went well and the team of lovely ladies helped me out tremendously! Everyone is so welcoming and talented, I couldn't have wished for such a perfect place to learn and work. Day two, I sewed silk blinds which was only slightly nerve racking ... Fortunately the turned out well, again thanks to the guidance of the girls. On day four I actually finished and completed a pair of polka dot blinds! I was so pleased, I sewed everything as well as cutting to size the rods, bottom bar, brackets and bead chain. All in all its been a lovely week and I am looking forward to the next! I have had this furry gilet for a while but haven't posted anything about it yet so was keen to do a shoot incorporating it. It is so cozy and I have been wearing so much recently as the weather is starting to change and the mornings are getting rather chilly. It is such a great piece to have in your wardrobe, you can easily throw it over most outfits and is great for layering. The deal breaker was defiantly its softness, the fur is so fluffy and has a downey feel to it. Its one of my autumn favourites for sure. I bought mine from Topshop but you can get them from pretty much anywhere, they are so popular and I can see why. I am also loving anything split at the moment, the side split skirt I am wearing is also from Topshop and has now become a staple in my wardrobe, I can dress it up or down and have already got so much wear out of it. I also have been looking for a "western" style buckled belt for agessss and finally found one I loved from Asos am also wearing here. My final purchase are of course my boots... I saw them and had to have them. They are real leather and absolutely gorgeous, they are perfect for this time of year and I like the fact that they are quite slim at the top keeps my ankles nice and toastie. Top - Topshop
